佐藤 大 ("we", "us") sets out below how personal information is handled in the software "VTuber Original Character Maker" and the related services (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

Account information Email address, name or display name, profile image URL, account identifier
Collected when you sign in with a Google account.
Input data Images uploaded and text entered for generating 3D characters, expressions, videos and backgrounds
Output Generated 3D models, images and videos
Purchase and usage history Point purchase history, history of grants, consumption and expiry, and the execution history of generation processing
Technical information IP address, OS type, application version, error logs
Content of enquiries The enquiry type, email address, name (optional), enquiry text, support ID, environment (edition, application version, OS, graphics card, date and time of occurrence, steps to reproduce), purchase information (date and time of purchase, product purchased, payment method) entered into the enquiry form, and any attached files
At the time of sending we also record the sender's IP address, browser type (User-Agent), country, date and time of sending, and the URL of the page being viewed. This is to deal with impersonation and repeated submissions.
The name is optional; you do not need to enter your real name.
Records of usage Records of operations in the Software and on our servers (start-up and shutdown, success or failure of sign-in, start, completion and interruption of purchases, execution and success or failure of generation features, error codes, processing times)
Collected to investigate faults, deal with billing problems and improve quality.
These records contain only an account identifier (and the support ID we issue) and the content of the operation; they do not include the text you entered, the Output itself, or your email address.
When you are not signed in, we record using only a random identifier generated per device.

2. Information we do not collect

Microphone audio is not sent to our servers. Speech recognition in the streaming features (transcribing what you say), and deciding which expression or video to use based on what you said, are all processed by AI running on the User's own device. Neither the audio data nor the text derived from it is sent to us or to any third party.

We also do not collect the following information.

3. Purposes of use

  1. To provide the Service, execute the generation features, and store and deliver the Output
  2. To identify and authenticate accounts and manage Point balances
  3. To sell Points, process payments and handle accounting
  4. To respond to enquiries
  5. To prevent misuse and respond to acts that breach the Terms of Service
  6. To investigate faults in the Service, improve quality and develop new features
  7. To respond as required by law

4. Provision to third parties

Except in the following cases, we do not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the User's prior consent.

  1. Where required by law
  2. Where it is necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and it is difficult to obtain the person's consent
  3. Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency or similar body in performing duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the person's consent is likely to impede the performance of those duties

5. Outsourcing and use of external services

To the extent necessary to provide the Service, we entrust the handling of information to the following external services. We supervise those contractors as necessary and appropriate.

6. Provision of personal data to third parties in foreign countries

As set out in the preceding section, in providing the Service we entrust the handling of personal data to businesses located in foreign countries. The countries in which the recipients are located are the United States (Amazon Web Services, Inc. / Google LLC / Stripe, Inc. / OpenAI, L.L.C. / Meshy LLC / Cloudflare, Inc.), Hong Kong (Holymolly Ltd) and Singapore (BytePlus Pte. Ltd.). BytePlus Pte. Ltd. states publicly that it stores the information it obtains in Singapore and the United States.

If you contact our enquiry desk, we will provide the information we hold about the personal information protection regimes in the recipients' countries and the measures those recipients take to protect personal information.

7. Handling of data by generative AI services

  1. Input Data and Output are sent to external generative AI services in order to carry out generation.
  2. Whether each service may use them as training data depends on the contractual terms between us and that service.
  3. We do not use Input Data to train our own AI models.

8. Retention periods

  1. Account information, Output, and purchase and usage history are retained for as long as the account exists.
  2. If you wish to delete your account, please contact our enquiry desk. After deletion, data including Output cannot be restored.
  3. Enquiry content and attached files are retained for two years from receipt, even after the matter is closed, in order to handle similar enquiries and improve quality, and are then deleted.
  4. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, information that must be retained by law (transaction records and the like) is retained for the prescribed period.

9. Security measures

  1. Access rights to personal data are limited to what is necessary.
  2. All communication is encrypted (TLS).
  3. Authentication information (access tokens) is stored encrypted on the User's own device.
  4. Secrets such as API keys are managed in a cloud secret management service and are not embedded in the application.

10. Requests for disclosure, correction, deletion and the like

Users may request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or suspension of provision to third parties of their own personal information that we hold. Please contact our enquiry desk. After confirming your identity, we will respond in accordance with the law.

11. Use of cookies and similar technologies

This website may use cookies to the extent necessary to provide the service. At present we do not use third-party cookies for advertising or analytics purposes.

The enquiry form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent abuse by automated submissions (bots). This mechanism collects information about the browser environment in order to confirm that the sender is a person.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may change this Policy in response to changes in the law or in the content of the Service. Where we make an important change, we will make it known by posting on this site.
